Unmanned Aircraft Systems Remote Pilot Certification – Basic Course

Course Overview:

The Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Pilot course provides comprehensive training for individuals interested in operating UASs, commonly known as drones, for commercial and recreational purposes. This course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to become competent remote
pilots, ensuring the safe and responsible operation of UASs in compliance with regulations and best practices.

What You Will Learn

  • Understand the principles of unmanned aircraft and their applications.
  • Familiarize with the UAS’s different components.
  • Gain knowledge of UAS regulations, airspace restrictions, and legal considerations.
  • Learn how to conduct pre-flight checks and perform basic maintenance on the UAS.
  • Develop skills in flight planning, including route selection and risk assessment.
  • Master the techniques for safe takeoff, flight maneuvering, and landing.
  • Acquire knowledge of emergency procedures and troubleshooting common issues.

Note: The course includes 5 hours of practical lessons at Stankovec Airfield where students will perform the basic maneuvers of take-off and landing, hovering, circuits, navigation, turns, ascend and descend. At the end of the practical training, there will be the final skill test, after which the remote pilot certification will be issued.


The content of the course is designed as a general guide and can be adapted or customized according to specific regulations, requirements, and advancements in the field of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.


Upon completion of the BASIC course, the students can expand the knowledge acquired by enrolling in the ADVANCED course where they will learn more about Meteorology, Performance, Geo-zone, Ground Risk Management, and Maintenance.
